Over and over, I see the need for better analytical and systems thinking skills. Businesses put a lot of emphasis on team agility and collaboration, but not enough on critical thinking to support great decisions.
When looking a digital enhancement, investment needs to align with the business direction. With the shift to adaptive methodologies, businesses risk focusing on getting things done rather than doing the right things.
I believe that the roles of business analysis and business architecture are well suited to meet these digital enhancement demands BUT only if they have critical and analytical competencies.
